Product Description Pegstim contains pegfilgrastim 6 mg (pegylated filgrastim), a granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF). It is indicated to reduce the incidence of infection, as manifested by febrile neutropenia, in patients receiving myelosuppressive anti-cancer chemotherapy. Pegfilgrastim stimulates the bone marrow to increase production of neutrophils (white blood cells) that help protect against infection.
Indications
Prevention of chemotherapy-induced neutropenia and associated infections in patients receiving myelosuppressive chemotherapy.
Administration
Administer subcutaneously as a single dose per chemotherapy cycle, per prescribing information and oncology protocol.
Use under medical supervision. Patient-specific dosing and timing relative to chemotherapy must be determined by the treating physician.
